Users can build a wide variety of SMARTrees that describe facilities, laboratory equipment, test hardware, chemicals and consumables. These trees are managed by lab technicians who keep an inventory of all hardware that can be used by others to populate trees relating to their specific projects. These tress can also be archived and/or shared with accountants or administrative staff to catalog capital equipment.
